Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs
The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs is one of the important ministries in the State of Qatar that applies Islam both as a methodology and ideology. It cares for the affairs of Muslims through different means: in the field of Da’wah (call to Allah), in running the mosques, maintaining and refurbishing them, and supervising them for the sake of the wellbeing of the Muslims, both the citizens and residents.

Ministry of Public Health

Ministry of Culture and Sports
The Ministry of Culture and Sports is responsible for preservation of culture, arts and heritage highlighting its national and Islamic characteristics, preparation of studies and researches- related to it. It is also responsible for organizing programs and celebrating national events, Regulating license to own and establish radio, television and audiovisual broadcasting stations, monitoring the press, publications and broadcast materials and issuing license for them.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, formed The Ministry of Sports and Culture by an Emiri decree issued at the Amiri Diwan on 17/4 / 1437H corresponding to 27/01/2016 by merging the Ministries of Youth& Sports and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage. The ministry focuses on the youth to develop their skills, and help them to perform their duties and raise the level of sports in the country to the point of excellence.
The ministry will have general supervision of sports, youth and concerned authorities in the State to support and coordinate their works it is also responsible for setting conditions and standards for the establishment of clubs, centers, committees and associations for youth and sports and issuing license for them.

Ministry of Commerce and Industry
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is responsible for overseeing commercial and industrial activities for the State of Qatar, directing these activities in accordance with the requirements of national development. The Ministry’s mandate includes business development needed to attract investments, and support and develop exports. Other responsibilities are developing methods and procedures for providing public services to the business and investment sector, regulating the practice of trade professions, registering the commercial and investment establishments, issuing the necessary licenses to carry out their activities, and supervising the regulation and control of markets in its area of competence.

Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs
Since its establishment, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs has undertaken the responsibility of achieving public objectives of administrative development, labour and employment affairs and social protection of citizens in State of Qatar. It is considered one of the service- providing ministries that seek to provide services to citizens and foreign residents.
Administrative Development Affairs department- contributes to the preparation of the budget of the first section, development of human resources information systems, development of human resources planning and policies, employment of citizens, and regulation and quality.

Ministry of Transport and Communications
In recognition of the significant role of transport and ICT in building a robust knowledge-based economy in light of Qatar National Vision 2030, the Ministry of Transport and Communications was established as per Emiri Order No. 1 of 2016 amending the formation of the Council of Ministers and naming HE Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti as the Minister of Transport and Communications.
Emiri Decree No. 4 of 2016 sets the mandates and functions of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as follows:

• Developing and improving transport services, studying their projects, and supervising and following up their implementation in order to achieve the expansion of economic activity and serve the requirements of the national development scale;

Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics
His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued an Emiri Decree no (70) for the year 2018 regarding the establishment of Planning and Statistics Authority and assigning his Excellency Dr. Saleh Bin Mohammed Al-Nabit as President of Planning and Statistics Authority. Planning and Statistics Authority is competent of the development of the overall vision for the state, in cooperation with the concerned authorities; preparation of national development strategies; follow-up of their implementation, in coordination with the concerned authorities; preparation of studies and population policies related to such strategies; supporting the planning process in government agencies; working on linking development priorities to the state budget; monitoring the progress of implementation of plans. It is also mandated to establish an integrated statistical system; conduct, organize and supervise formal statistical operations; implement various censuses and surveys; and disseminate statistical data and products.
